carb spring method?? very loosly done.. should make it run like 3-4psi.. which isnt ---- really.. so.. i think thats his best bet.. or connecting the pipes and purposely having a leak... soemwhere in the setup.. to bleed off most of the boost..

Ummmm.....is it going to build 3-4 psi into the atmosphere? That must be one hell of a turbo.

definitely wouldn't work, you'll still be overspooling the ---- out of it. unhooking the wastegate would be the best way to go

If you drive very easy/low rpm, you can get away with it. Just try not to punch it and get the charge pipes hooked up asap. Also just in case you didn't know, by no means even turn the car on without oil to the turbo. It's also a good idea to prime the oil line into a bottle/container so you can get any dirt/shavings out of the line - it only takes a small amount of contaminants in the oil to tick those bearings off and have you smoking down the road.

Just connect your piping up, its really pretty easy to stay out of boost if you're not retarded. I drove two weeks with a full turbo setup without engine management. I never went into boost at all-- its pretty much all on throttle position-- you can wind out to high rpms without ever coming near boost if you don't go high throttle, but if you floor it at low rpms you will hit boost or raise up enough that the map sensor will throw a code. Just drive conservatively with your charge pipes hooked up and you will be fine
