I test fitted my wrx turbo to my HF manifold and the compressor housing and exhuast housing are in perfect shape, but the oil return is upside down ( facing straight up ), so can I rotate the compressor and exhuast housings to make the oil return face the right way ?

 

Just incase anyone wanted to know. "Yes" to answer my own question. I had to grind two 1/32'' nipple/tab kinda tings off the housings, but now the oil return is perfect.

The WRX turbo is quiet a nice fit for the D16, the inturnal wastegate clears the block ( its behind the turbo between the block ), and the compressor faces toward the radiator. The WRX DP should be here in the next few days, I'm going to cut it and have an exhuast shop run it into the fender where it will be an open dump.

TD04-13G wrx turbo size isn't the best, but its fitting in/on the motor perfect after the easy task of rotating the housings/ center section.
