Rotating the Center section
Well i've never messed around with Garret Turbo's before only Mistubishi turbos my questions is this: I found a good Garret turbo but the center section needs to be rotated, do just "unscrew" the bolts on both sides of the turbo and then rotate the center section? (Dont flame I searched but couldn't find anything) Thanx in advance
Yea just loosened the bolts on the exhaust side and it should let you rotate the center part along with the compressor side. If you loosened the bolts on the compressor side it will allow you to rotate the compressor side in relation to the center. If you've loosened all of them and they are pretty far out already and still cant clock the turbo, try tapping it slowly with a mallet or a cloth covered hammer.
I hope this helps.
