First off. My ghetto setup was nice since I didnt have the money to do anything more. Now I have a few extra bucks I made at the local brothel. I want to change my ghetto charge pipe setup to something that wont embares me when I pop my hood. I plan in using exhaust piping for my new charge pipe setup. I figure this setup is gonna run me about 20 bucks.

Does the exhaust pipe shine up good? I want to shine it or paint it black. I just dont know... Any REAL input is welcome otherwise just flame the question.

Black Primer worked for me.... I was trying to polish it but it was taking to long... or you can just sand and go buy HIgh Heat Aluminum Paint and give it a shot... it actually looks good...

 

We powder coated my buddy's exhaust pipe - charge pipes last night and it looks awesome.

I'm not to sure you can polish it, maybe if your are patient enough. But paint will work, make sure you sand it a little so the paint sticks to the metal good, also clean them good before painting.

 

do they really flow good though? i don't know, it seems like everybody would be using them if they worked good, because they are cheap as ----

 

Exhaust pipes are fine, as long as they're made up of mandrel bent sections. If the pipe is crimp-bent it won't flow as well, but will still work fine.

I painted mine with ford gray engine paint, and they look super professional.

 

you won't notice a difference between crimp and madrel

 

He is right the turbo will push a certain amount of air in direct realtionship to the throttle of the motor. Ya know physics of making boost. And when it starts pushing that volume of air will go almost no matter what.
