It's an emissions thing like trebor said. So I would advise ya to leave it in, specially if you get emissions tested. I live in PA where they started doing basic emissions checks, and my buddy failed his cause he removed the canister.

to be honest, i don't give a ---- about weight reduction, and i also don't give a ---- about emissions. 90% of everyone here doesn't have a cat converter on their car so who the ---- are you to bitch about removing a piece such as that and then you bitch about emissions?
I honestly don't like the way it looks, plus it takes up room in an already crowded space

i go on a diet to make my car lighter when im in it. weight reductions do make a diffrence!!
