I am trying to reclock turbine and compressor housings. Compressor side was pretty easy. According to the docs http://www.dieselusa.com/productinfo/HY30W.pdf you just undo the vband and knock the turbine off. However when I seperate the turbine off the CHRA I get about 1/4" or so and cant go any further and then the shaft is bound up and doesnt turn. Im scare of breaking something as the turbo is like new. Do I just need to quit being a scaredy cat and use a bigger hammer?

 

if its new it shouldnt bind take all the bolts off and clamps off first the hit evenly around the T.HSG (hit one side then the other ) maybe even take off the WG
