Default rebuild a t25?

I got my ebay t25 (2g) today and it looks like brand new but has some bad shaft play. Should I rebuild it and if so were is the cheapest to get the kit? Or should I get a different turbo or?? The fins have not touched yet but are close!

a rebuild kit will be half as much as a new turbo. do what you wanna do, but if it were me i'd sell that one on E-bay and buy another.

Define bad shaft play? Without oil in there she will have a little.

All I'm going to say is: I was sold not one, not two, not THREE but four ------- bad 14b's in the past month. Its *********** who prolly got scammed, and then wanna rescam someone on eBay. I'm not saying anyone here would do that... but if you're going to re-ebay it make SURE its listed as a rebuilder. Next son of a bitch who sells me something bad knowingly is going to get it thrown through his living room window, i ---- you not. Distance I have to drive/fly be damned.

I finally ended up DIY rebuilding one of my 14b's. The only thing I didnt do was balance it, I sent the center section to Team Turbo in Texas and they did it for like 35 bucks I think. It runs great and I KNOW I have a fresh turbo for a long time. T-25 and 14b's will go forever if they're well balanced and taken care of.

I here you on the whole window thing. I can almost push the compressor wheel into the housing. My dial indicator is at work so I cant measure it right now. I can get a rebuild kit for 100.00, but I will try that place your talking about do you have any contact Info?

Real nice guys. His rebuild kits are a lil more than other peoples but I must admit it was one of the most COMPLETE rebuild kits I've ever seen. What I like is he didnt give me any ---- about rebuilding my own turbo... unlike most places. Make sure you caliper the turbine shaft and tell them or whoever you get a rebuild kit the size. They do have oversized bushings if needed available.

I also bought my 16G for my Talon from him, was like 499 shipped.
