a/r 63 t3 bb too big?

i think i kinda went overboard but im just about to slap on my new turbo into my sohc civic. its a garret t3/to4e .50 trim a/r 63. ball bearing. any input on this turbo for my STOCK y8 would be greatly appreciated. oh yeah...im coming to you uberdata geniuses for my tuning...im ditching the svafc finally! After 1 year of reliable services from them. see you guys soon. just put in your 2 cents on this turbo. im thinking the a/r is a bit large...delaying my spool time...but top should be a good kick in the ass...right before my low red line..lol.

I also have a air research t3 ar 42/48 that Im going to put on as soon as bmc sends me my down pipe flange that I ordered almost a month ago but Ill be glad to trade you ;D

my buddy's running the same turbo on a z6 and it hits super deluxe hard up top O0........fully spool 10psi by 5k or so

Being a BB turbo, that normally can drop spool time by about 1000rpm compared to a wet bearing style.

But I do think selling it to me would be a better idea!

Seeing as everyone wants it. you may as well keep it... If it sucks, get something smaller.

Delayed spool is called launch control ;D

launch control? lol, at a decent boost level, say 10psi, I bet your wheels will start spinning around 5k in second gear and won't stop until 3rd.

it depends on what your goals are..if you are going to the drag strip frequently and are focused more on drag racing I would keep it.

Re: a/r 63 t3 bb too big?

WOW....spools by 4. the lower rpms in 1st is a bit slow but after that....wow...i can only say " me necks gonna break" it just keeps pulling and pulling. got to 110mph too fast, and passing up ppl on the freeway is just too easy. i can just floor 5th and zoom.....OMG....i love this thing. you guys got to try this one. im @ 10 psi only and this thing is so dam consistent. after 1st....its all power....no lag, nothing. omg. i love this! o yeah....about the 2nd gear thing...yeah....i spun on 2nd and alittle in 3rd. ill try something stickier and wider soon. but the power diff is amazing compared to my 42/48.
