Default quiet exhuast set up

Heyas guys,
I'm building a junkyard turbo kit for a CRX SI D16A6. I'm also going for the complete sleeper look and sound.

I'll probably be running 2.5 exhaust piping, with an oval style muffler, I want it to look stock. But I'm also worried about sound, I want it to be as quiet as my stock exaust if its possible.

I know about using resonators to lower the pitch. But I also heard about someone using a truck muffler that looked stock and keep sound way down. Anyone know anything bout that?

I might not go mandrel for now so I'm thinking bout running Whitey Bends, would these be better then crush bends

Thanks
~Adam

pick up a 3" tubing kit from vrsexhaust.com and get the longest resonator/glasspack you can find for the mid pipe, and get a 3" inlet and dual 2" outlet oval muffler for the rear

Thanks for the response racentweek, I checked out those items on that website.= $$$$$

I guess I didnt mention, this is a BUDGET set up. I think I have a good deal on 2.5 piping so thats probably what im going to be using. I'm going to look for a resonator from a junkyard (anyone know what cars come with good resonators for a CRX SI exaust?) and then a cheap truck oval style muffler. Let me know what you think.

just get the piping kit from VRS. you can get glasspacks from summit fro less than $30 and a reg oval muffler should be pretty cheap too
i'd expect ~$300 would be more than enough if you shop around

piping kit $150 + ship
http://vrsexhaust.com/TUBING_KITS/HO.../honda_tk.html

rear muffler ~$40 shipped
http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...=egnsearch.asp

glasspack ~$30 shipped
http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...=KeywordSearch

looks to be about ~$220 shipped

pretty cheap if you ask me

different types of mufflers take out different types of sounds....glasspacks take out all the high notes and ringing tinny sounds. A cansalation muffler like a flow master takes out all the low deep rumbles. if you put both into our exhaust it will be quieter than if you just used one type of muffler...

if you want to totally kill the sound you can use a louvered core resonator
