Default Quick Exhaust Gasket Question

Is there some kind of material that you can use/cutup for use as an exhaust gasket?

I will be running an HF mani with a Saab T25 and I currently don't have any gaskets. I know I can get one for the mani/adapter plate from the stealership but I'd still need one for the adapter plate/turbo side.

Seriously? That's what I was thinking but it seemed a little too ghetto. Is there a certain type of metal and gauge/thickness to use?

I'm dead serious. I would use about 20 gauge steel? I dunno, just throwing that out there.
