The problem is that fuel injectors are designed to atomize gasoline, which lacks any significant surface tension, and has lower viscosity than water. Here are fuel injectors spraying water at 55 psig:

Those are streams, not droplets. See the problem?

There are a number of options that cut surface tension - acetone or other diluents - but it's un-ideal.

damn that pic is worth a thousand words. way to save me from hydrolocking my engine, thanks

i think a hose and nozzle would be the way to go, like a devilsown kit

I think a different injector design, or the right surfactant, would do the trick.

Injectors are designed to atomize gasoline, not water. Thus, a different injector design. As for my vocabulary... I was raised in a trailerpark, what's your excuse? :(

Devilsown adds water according to manifold pressure, right? So what's the difference between 20lbs at 5k rpm and 20lbs at 7k rpm? I pretty sure there is a significant difference, but does the devil know this?

Correct. Injecting water with no regard for VE in a VE-based system, water to airmass ratios, etc.

Mine was the only trailer in the park. So does that still make it a trailer park I wonder???

Lets see you park in a driveway and drive on the parkway.....hmm.
