Default Question for guys that run a WRX (TD04L) turbo

I start spooliong at 3k and fully spool by 3.5k on my z6. I only seem to be able to hit 6.5 psi on the stock WG. Just seeing when you guys fully spool at and at what amount of boost.

Wow... My low compression ( 8.4/1 ) engine starts to spool about 2200rpms and gets full boost (10psi) by 3100rpms.. Maybe the non-vtec head has something to do with it...

I use a "helper spring" to get more boost though... Without the WG hooked up the spring will hold about 5.5psi, then at higher RPMS the boost falls off. I was getting around 8-9psi with just wastegate ( but my WG mounting had some binding and the diafram was a little smached ).

I'm going to a 92-95 radiator b/c I wanna run the turbo the way it came off the wrx ( minus the center section ). I've had "boost grimlens" forever and I'm just tired of it...
Day1: 6psi
Day2" 3psi
tweek the wastegate 10psi
next day 7psi
tweek the WG 9psi
next day 5psi
tweek the WG 13psi

That is the summary of about my first month of driving it ( not daily of course ). 13psi was sweet, but the clutch didn't think it was too funny.

I'm actually running it in the stock location right now.....just clocked the center. I didn't want to fiddle with it too much because I've heard it might cause probs for the WG when remounting it. I guess if new brackets were made it would be ok.

I thought I was the only person who had mounting problems with that thing. I don't feel so bad now. I'll stick with the good ole IHI from the old sube's and probe/MX-6's.
