Default question about installing 450's

i have seen this thread about installing 450's.....
https://www.homemadeturbo.com/tech_p...ors/index.html

my question: would it be the end of the world if i re-used my factory seals? i mean, if i dremelled out my factory seals and re-used them? also, my OEM injectors only had one seal on them - i am guessing the "lower seal" based on the pics... can i make do with only these seals?

thanks...

As for re-using them, I did, and just had the new ones just in case. I end up returning them in the end.

thanks for the help guys.... well i did that, and put the 450's in... then i put the fuel rail on but it won't go down far enough to clear the threads that hold the fuel rail on the intake mani..... i checked the injectors and they are completely seated.

what am i missing? do i need to remove the bushings on the threaded bolts that stick out of the intake manifold? do i need to grind something else down?

i have the blue 1st gen DSM injectors, 450s....

any help would be appreciated, as i'm at an obvious impasse and cannot continue the build.

oh yeah, on a separate note i installed an MBC (came without instructions), but after searching on the internet i gathered i need to install it between the wastegate and turbo... i have one line running to the wastegate and another to the turbo. tell me if i'm wrong.

what i couldn't find is how to start setting the MBC.... i think i start with it loosened all the way, right? then drive around and test it until i find the psi i want. thats it right? i am running crome and plan on using about 10~10.5 lbs of boost. thanks!

Take the injector and compare it side by side with the stock ones. As lons as its the same length you shouldnt have any problems. Make sure the top is fully seated in the rail and the bottom is all the way seated.

I didn't even dremel my seals I just lubed them up, tightend the fuel rail and sucked them in :P
