Question about comp ratio?
I'm looking to build up my 4afe this winter. Getting a new setup with better management, t3 turbo, forgies and quite a bit of head work.
The only company that makes pistons straight up for the engine is weisco. They make a set that sets me at about 10.2:1 compression, which I can lower a *bit* with a thicker headgasket.
I know that with forgies and good management I will be fine with a decent sized t3, but my question regards using pump gas.
I would like having a larger turbo and higher compression, to create a better balance between daily driving and track use. Higher compression will allow me to get higher numbers with a smaller amount of boost, but will I be limited with pump gas as oppesed to running lower compression and more boost?
Thanks,
Colin
