putting on turbo, what's the hard part?
next weekend i'm finally going to start putting on my turbo. it's a T25 onto a 99 ex, what is the biggest problem that you guys have ran into that i should watch out for and what did you guys have the most trouble with? i've been coming to this site since before there was a forum and feel pretty confidant that i can do it from looking at the projects and reading everybody's topics. about how long should it take? alright final question, will i be satisfied running 8psi, or is it barely a noticable differance?

the hardest part I thought was the piping. Everything else just takes time. Like taking the oilpan oil pan off etc.... I't's really not hard at all to hook up the turbo it just has a lot of things that take a little time to do.

Charge pipes were easiest for me. I hate the oil drain. Make sure you got good placement for the fitting before you go and drill it in. 
I tapped mine a little higher than I probably should have. Now I'm paying the price of being too lazy to redo it. And just keep ------- with drain pipes to try and stop leaking. Use teflon tape on everything. Make sure everything is tight.

thanks for the heads-up. i'm welding all my pipes together, well not all but enough so that i can take sections off if i need to.
another question, right between the head and IM there is a big *** open vacuum nipple, can i use that for a source? you can see a pic of what i'm talking about in the project pages, it's todd's pictures of cooling at the bottom of the page right in the middle of the picture. i was just wondering because i heard you can use any vacuum sourcec but all i hear is people T'ing off the IM.

The hardest things for me were getting the damn oil pan off (---- those gaskets hold) and getting the oil pressure sensor off, b/c I didnt have a big enough socket. I had to wait for my wife to drive me to the store so I could get bigger sockets (cant remember the size for sure, it was >22mm). My biggest piece of advice is to tighten / seal everything up real well before you start piecing the car back together. Otherwise you will find yourself contorting all around to get the oil to stop leaking, etc.
