hmm, hope your manifold flange side was surfaced

I always use gaskets and the ring seal below the wastegate and have never had sealing problems.

The gasket that Tial provides with their wastegates are not very good. They work for a while and then they burn out leaving just the metal layer that looks like swiss cheese.

the HKS uses a better 3 bolt flange. the main reason that Tial is so popular is cause they use the same flange that the deltagate uses which is the shitty gate that comes in most trubo manifolds. the tial is a good wastegate though

So, just out of curiosity, what gasket should you use if you've got a Delta or Tial wastegate?

if your flange is flat and smoothe enough you can get away without using any gasket at all. otherwise just make one out of sheet metal or something.

Thats kind of what I thought. Everyone always told me that the carbon buildup will be a good enough seal to prevent leaks. Just thought I'd ask before my own install.
