Project Turbo Yamaha Banshee

Re:Project Turbo Yamaha Banshee
9b is the smallest easy to find turbo i know of. you can get smaller ones but it's more expensive and harder to come by. maybe a teo4h would work, thats about the size of a 9b. I have one accessible to me if you wanna buy one.

Re:Project Turbo Yamaha Banshee
well I just got an RHB5 off a Subaru. If the turbo is too big than we're just going to change the top end of the motor with the 800cc cylinder heads off of a jet ski to spool it.
Now the question is should we use an intercooler? Any reccomendations?

Go find a jetski that has a turbo on it already Honda makes one I used to ride it at work. Anyways the turbo was small so just find one out on a lake. Lure the guy in with a cute girl and have her distract him for a bit witha nice long walk and whamo you have yourself a nice small turbo
I've heard of pople wanting to use the ones from sunbirds as well.... which are fairly common and rather small.

Re:Project Turbo Yamaha Banshee
My buddy is thnking of doing this. His banshee is appraised at $16,800. It has everything, front end doesn't stay down in the first 3 gears with him sitting on the gas tank. Think of what a turbo would do.
If anybody can do it he can, he rides 3 different 9-10 snowmobile for ice drag racing!! It's F@$cking awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
He says the most common and best fit turbos are from Miata's!! Just a hint. I suggest the 9b to him also.

Re:Project Turbo Yamaha Banshee
You guys are giving me a woody looking at this ----. I even went looking for a little tiny turbo. I need to find something to boost or I'm going to go crazy. I wanted to build a golf cart with a boosted Cr250 motor, but everybody wants like $2000 just for the golfcart. I want one for like $200 without a motor. ---- that would be cool.
I think the only reason that turbo produces so much boost is because the chamber it has to pressurize is so small. We're talking about less than 350cc. I can **** more than 350cc.
