Re: Project: Bang for the Buck
go spend 30 cents and buy another hose clamp for that axle boot and ditch the zip tie. i ------- HATE when grease gets slung all over every thing in the engine bay
build looks tits, in for updates |
Re: Project: Bang for the Buck
I was gonna use another clamp but wanted to use that zip tie so ------- bad! :1
I hate axle grease also but that is also my rust prevention! |

Re: Project: Bang for the Buck
now you need to figure out a way the cv joint boot can fail and 'rust prevent' over the rear fenders
|
Re: Project: Bang for the Buck
I'll get the rear fenders with the oil that leaks from the return!
I will take your advice, I was thinking of putting a clamp on that side when I put it together. But like I said, I wanted to use that zip tie. |
Re: Project: Bang for the Buck
ya zip ties work ok, raced mine like this one day after doing very much the same thing on a failed cv. not recommended for +30mph or long distance as i found out ::)

The axles that I found in my basement won't work according to Mistabone in TurboHF's axle thread. They are EG also, ---- I need to get this thing going |
