|
Re: Project: Bang for the Buck
Bitch those parts came from me! Unless you gonna let me get at those 89-91 front spindles and you can get my beatdown ones to rebuild. I need them to get this thing going! Helping a local HMT member goes along way. :-*

Re: Project: Bang for the Buck
i know it does what do i get out of this

Re: Project: Bang for the Buck
That intercooler makes the CDM cast manifold work perfect. Those manifolds are meant to have the turbo facing the passenger side, so the turbo is tucked under the manifold. Nice job.

Re: Project: Bang for the Buck
Are you still under $1000 as far as your investment goes?
Work on your fluxcore welding skills, dial in the speed and temperature and you can make them look bawlin. |

Work on your fluxcore welding skills, dial in the speed and temperature and you can make them look bawlin. I traded a JDM B16a2 long block that was beatdown but still ran, for the rolling shell and a D16a6 with si cable trans. Then I traded a non-rolling shell Integra 4door with the full interior for what I though was a rust free CRX, that had the traction bars some coilovers and the wheels. Then I sold the CRX for $500 to a friend I got a whole D15b7 swap so I used that bottomend cause I seen It run and know it works, paid $50 kept tranny for my other car. Then random junk yard visits over the years and collecting ---- that is turbo related I am way under a G if you count the B16 as a total fail, some people like the B and some like the D. I like the Dirty D :y |
Re: Project: Bang for the Buck
thats pretty sweet. Im curious to see how the d15 hangs...kinda the underdog of the D series

Re: Project: Bang for the Buck

I found some old axles in my basement, but the driverside was fucked up. I used an old b series boot that came with some ---- I bought years ago. Its gangster and I didn't spend a cent.
What I started with :-\ Paper towels for hand cleaning while working Attachment 11836 What leftover from axle I got the boot off. Attachment 11837 Done :6 Attachment 11838 It will work for now! |
Re: Project: Bang for the Buck
looks like new. :y
|
Re: Project: Bang for the Buck
nice dash ninja
|
Re: Project: Bang for the Buck
go spend 30 cents and buy another hose clamp for that axle boot and ditch the zip tie. i ------- HATE when grease gets slung all over every thing in the engine bay
build looks tits, in for updates |
Re: Project: Bang for the Buck
I was gonna use another clamp but wanted to use that zip tie so ------- bad! :1
I hate axle grease also but that is also my rust prevention! |

Re: Project: Bang for the Buck
now you need to figure out a way the cv joint boot can fail and 'rust prevent' over the rear fenders
|
Re: Project: Bang for the Buck
I'll get the rear fenders with the oil that leaks from the return!
I will take your advice, I was thinking of putting a clamp on that side when I put it together. But like I said, I wanted to use that zip tie. |
Re: Project: Bang for the Buck
ya zip ties work ok, raced mine like this one day after doing very much the same thing on a failed cv. not recommended for +30mph or long distance as i found out ::)

The axles that I found in my basement won't work according to Mistabone in TurboHF's axle thread. They are EG also, ---- I need to get this thing going |
