Re:Pro-Street CRX Update Pics!
turbohf: Well, since Shortyz posted the pic, i don't have to go take it off and do it.. LoL It looks exactly like that inside.
leed: there is actually two motors here that are going to have a go at it. The first one is basically nothing more than a back-up, and something that we can run while the 'real' motor is being built. I tried to do it on a budget, and come in under $1000 for the block. JE Pistons (9.5:1), Probe Rods, a Race Engineering block guard, and some good ol' fashioned machining... heh. The B16 block and crank being used, is the same block that got hurt badly when the oil pump failed in the yellow car. So far, i'm only $150 over budget on the gblock, which isn't bad considering the cost of the machine work to fix the block in the first place. The second block, is based on a Type-R block i picked up, and will be fully built/sleeved, etc.. going for a 1.9L setup with it (which is what this turbo is sized for). So yea, the turbo is going to be a bit overkill for the B16. By the way, i may be able to help you out on the price of that intercooler by the way if you seriously want one... email me, and let me know what size you were wanting, and i'll see what i can do
Abaz: Thanks... it does look purty down there.. hehe. Lets hope it runs like it looks

Re:Pro-Street CRX Update Pics!
Its not just $375... don't forget the water pump, the box to hold excess water, lines, and if this is on a daily driver, the heat exchanger, etc... a Water-Air intercooler is not less expensive, nor better for daily driving than an air-air. If your car is your daily driver, i would personally stick with an air-air... they are still efficient, and they are simple.. less to go wrong with them. This car is not my daily driver, so i don't have to worry about how it'll do in traffic, or on a long drive, etc... all i care about, is that i can shove ice into it, and lower my intake temps below ambient while i'm at the track.

Re:Pro-Street CRX Update Pics!
Love the pics, great setup, even the naws thingie. The turbo mounted with the compressor house inlet pointing to the front seems to be the ---- over there.
I'm jealous about the prices you guys pay for parts, just 1000 buck and you've got a built engine, wish it was like that over here
Anyway, good luck with the car, and make some nice vids when things are running.

THanks for the compliments guys... After the amount of work that goes into something like this, it is nice to have people look at what you are doing, and like it
"I'm jealous about the prices you guys pay for parts, just 1000 buck and you've got a built engine, "
Don't be fooled... that price is that low because i'm utilizing some major hookups.. Dealer cost on all the parts, and then the machinist owes me a huge favor. Due to the work that is being done to the block because of the oil pump failure, the machine work would have normally been over $1000 by itself.. And yea, there will be plenty of vids and pics of this car. I regret not taking more with my old yellow car... may she rest in peace...
R.I.P. :
"way you look at it that water-air IC is less expenisve then the old IC you had"
Its unfortunate to say it, but yea, that is pretty much true... LoL. The good thing, is that i was actually able to sell it for a good amount to a guy that actually fixed it, and is using it on his turbo'd Toyota Tercel... its bad-***! hehe.
