Seafoam is what I was thinking, that would address excessive deposits on the valves or sticking valves. Can't hurt to run it through, it is like $3.

I used Seafoam on my Z28 Camaro. A lot of guys swear by it on the Z28 forums. Smoked like crazy, seemed to help.

yeah seafoam will always smoke like a madman for a while, but it gets ---- done.

#'s arent bad. Once d series motors get into the 140's and lower is when you have a problem
