pressure in cooling system
there is alot of pressure in my cooling system causing the coolant to go out; at first i thought it was boiling out; but it wasnt that hot ;now i see that it is being forced out threw the over flow bottle ;the car runs fine ;there was white smoke coming out of the exhaust; but that was only cause it was coming out of the overflow bottle onto the intake and into the motor ;i since then moved the overflow bottle

Re:pressure in cooling system
If your losing coolant, it is either your head gasket or your radiator cap. Replace the cap with a KNOWN good one and if it still has the problem it's your head gasket.

Re:pressure in cooling system
My car was doing the same thing. I tried replacing the rad. cap, but that didn't fix it. The extra pressure ruined the t-stat as well. So this weekend I changed the headgasket. I would tell you if that solved it, but the machine shop cracked the rocker arm assembly (jackasses).
After driving it for a little bit, pull over with the car running and pull the lid of off you overflow but leave the hose submerged in the coolant. If you are seeing bubbles, it's your headgasket. If not, only by an OEM Honda rad. cap. The rest are junk.

Re:pressure in cooling system
Just get a STANT cap or if your a baller you can get the SPOON cap for $349.99. It will give you 15whp and 8ft. lbs. of torque.
As for the head gasket, I would stick with Honda and spray it with copper spray.

Re:pressure in cooling system
Yeah, the OEM honda head gasket is the only way to go. A local guy is building 690 hp on an oem headgasket. Stant will work just fine, but I still say if you live close enough to the dealership and you don't mind dropping $12 or whatever, then get the oem.
