different manifolds hold different turbos in different positions, therefore, pre-made DP is not a probable solution.

Thats like saying I have a Honda ECU with a Honda motor so the ECU must work in every honda ever made. The only time a premade downpipe would fit would be if you used a drag or revhard manifold and ordered a drag or revhard downpipe. With customs manifolds, there are millions of different positions a turbo can hang off the manifold

good point, what would be a good manifold/downpipe combo for a d series and able to keep a/c. Anyone have this? I'm looking for a t3 style

lol, there are just not many people selling "manifold/downpipe" kits that clear AC setups for hondas. this is usually when people buy prefab kits like apexi/greddy etc. Because the downpipe/02 housing is so damn small it can sneak through the backsie of the AC compressor. If your plans are to go custom and keep AC its going to be a pain, but I'd suggest looking in your area for a place that can do nice mandrel bent tubing/welding fab. They could do your downpipe for you. As far as manifolds and what is supported by AC. easiest way to go is a log manifold.

Heres a good example of a shitbird log mani, and a huge 60-1 Turbo keeping AC. You will see how much room you have to work with.
