porting a HF/VX manifold
I see in the turbo project of Adam, that you port the manifold. Do you think that is correct or i must not spend my time on this??

Re:porting a HF/VX manifold
Ya I ported that ------- manifold because adam doesnt know how to port.
and yes, you need to atleast "Port Match" the manifold to the head. otherwise ... well its lame Takes about 10 mins with a die grinder and good bit. Jeff |

Re:porting a HF/VX manifold
thanks a lot for the link...
Sorry Jeff if i ask a lot of question but i want to be sure of what i will do :-[ |
Re:porting a HF/VX manifold
I have heard this term a thousand times, but been shown or attempted the process. "port" as in port and polish- to port a head,
enlarging the intake or exhaust ports ? is that what it means to port something. ps: im not stupid, just uninformed. |
Re:porting a HF/VX manifold
I just finished porting my manifold today. It's the 92 civic VX manifold in perfect shape. I used a dremel tool.... I know, I should have used a die grinder, but my air tank is too small to hold a charge. It turned out very smooth, and took about 30 min (of some hard 'dremeling').
