My 5G hatch with a z6 only over heats on a hot day while driving a sustained +85mph on the highway. If I drive it around town it never over heats...all stock cooling components.

i had a few heat issues with the CRX and a half rad. i think it was because of the gangsta lean using the stock crossmember.
installed a traction bar so that the rad sat correct, and never had an issue

Good stuff with the half radiator information. I have one laying around got it brand new single core for really cheap... less than 30 bucks but I am a bit concerned it won't like autox/road course beatings... I'm sure for the average street car even the single core radiators will be fine if the rest of the cooling system is in good health and it is bled properly.

I have daily driven my boosted y7/y8 over a year now on the stock radiator and fan and have NEVER had any overheat issues.
