Plz Help: Nightmare problems
Hi guys, I just got my 1993 Civic B16a2 turbo back from a full engine rebuild after I blew it up.
Its running T3/T04e turbo
Tial 38mm wastegate
450cc DSM injectos (thanks HMT for the guide)
Hondata (very rough basemap)
Stock fuel pump + inline fuel pump
Forged Pistons abd rods 9.0:1 comp
It seemed a little rough but I hoped it would make it to the dyno. I drove for 3 miles then parked it on my drive, came out after a couple of hours and when it started it sounded like a subaru Impreza! I checked the injectors, changed the plugs and leads, still the same.
I thought it was maybe too much fuel pressure so I took the inline fuel pump out and tried it without it.
Now it still runs really rough and cut out after about 1 minute. It doesnt start 1st time either, needs several turns to get it going. Idle is very low too.
Also I should add the speedo was all over the place when it was driving ok, kept dropping down lower than the speed i was actually doing.
Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks
Nick

Re:Plz Help: Nightmare problems
sounds to me your timing might be off, did you rebuild it yourself? when I did my rebuild my first startup was rough and it sounded like almost bubbly, I check everything on the topend and made sure the crank and camgears were lined up at TDC, I found out I was off by three teeth, took off timing belt and reinstalled correctly, also I adjusted the valves and it now runs fine.

at first I thought u were having nightmare problems, as in you have trouble sleeping where you close your eyes and the sandman comes to get you or some ----..
yeah I'm going to second the ground solution.
