Default Plugs to run on LS-T???

Hi, im getting close to putting all my things together for my build and just need a couple of more parts before I start installing. I have a B18B and looked all over to see what spark plugs I would need to install after the turbo build. So far I have not found a definite answer to which plugs I should run. I understand I need colder plugs but should I get 1 step colder or 2 step colder? Planing on running 8-9 psi also. Will these plugs work, NGK ZFR6F-1? Sorry if its been answered before but i couldn't find any definite answer on this. Thanks

Whats your setup look like?

I'm assuming that its a stock B18B, with a stock ignition system, with an AFC or FMU? Eh?

Well if thats the case I would run the stock OEM NGK replacement plug. Same temp, same gap, ect. Unless you are having some serious heat issues that would lead you to believe you need to run a colder plug I wouldn't deviate too far from the recommend application.

The rule of thumb is basically go a step colder for ever 75-100hp increase, often times, (and NGK will vouche for this as well, considering i read this information verbatim off one of there write ups...) That if it takes a colder or hotter plug to fix an issue- its possible you are just masking another problem...

The best advice I can give to you without seeing or tuning your setup is to run the standard specified NGK plug, which is probably ZFR5F-11... ?? whatever it is, run that and just pay special attention to the proper torque.

Well my set up looks like this:
Garret m11 turbo from a T-bird, Log style manifold, Dsm 450cc injectors, Walbro 255 fuel pump, Turbosmart Wastegate, and Turbosmart manual Boost control.
Im going to go obd1 and have a ecu thats going to be chipped too. Still think I should stay with the same plugs or should I go one step colder? Also the motor is stock with stock ignition, for now.

everyone on T-I runs at least 1 step colder plugs on a turbo setup. The safest way is to start with 1 step colder. Check the plugs - if they're white as can be, go one more step colder, if they're black as sh*t, go back to stock.

Corky bell - Maximum boost - recommends to start 2 steps colder and go hotter from there.

Ok im going to start one step colder and then check from there. Just want to do it right the first time and not mess anything up. Thanks for the advice

go one step colder and make sure you purchase copper plugs. iridium or platinum plugs are not good for boost and may misfire.
