but im running the cast iron chinese mani and turbo holding up to 15psi so far on hx head (vtec-e)

word the 2 I got the casting in them was just kinda hanging in there. The drag manifolds didnt look like that thats for sure. Took a while to clean up the final casting that should of been removed from the factory but we are talking orange chicken smelling manifolds

Got the car Retuned today at Chris' shop.
We ended up street tuning since my car and the dyno dont like eachother.
So no new dyno #'s.

Car feels great, gonna snap some pics today of the new setup.

cuz for the reason when i put in my ex cam and rocker arm assembly it throws the timming off and my motor has no low end and get shitty 16mpg.. its becouse i need a adjusble cam gear ex cam will be back in there and then i can make some real power.. but i hope to take it to a dyno see how much it makes with the hx ----
to tell the truth it pulls better than it did when i had a stock y7 head on there.. im boost 15psi now..

The Ex cam wouldn't go in the HX head I thought, it has one too many cam lobes per cylinder.

Or correct me if I'm wrong, but that head has some fucktarded version of Vtec, dubbed "E" for Economy.

You would have been better off with the Y7 head, the quench area of the cc is exactly the same as the Z6, throw in a Delta regrind and you're supposed to be good to go.

well the cam by it self wont fit.. but u need to also use the rocker arm assemby from the ex head.. u can also put in the dx cam and rocker arms in there i tryed it in and thye bolt right up.. but then tahts only good for if you want the bigger ports of the vtec head and stay non vtec if your getting a delta cam or something.. thats more performance..


i got a frind that trading me a 96ex (y cam wiht aem adjusble gear for my z6 cam and gear so ill be rolling ex soon cant wait to get that lift and real vtec pop cuz my chinesee t3t4 50/63 spooled much better when i had the ex cam in there but i took it out and re tuned it cuz the timming was off and it was boggin at low speeds and shitty milage (16mpg) and bad idle vac.. due to the cam timming off cuz i have a y7 block (obd2) and i had a obd1 cam in it..(z6)

but how it is now it rips *** perty darn good id say 200 whp or more ill be getting it dynoed soon once i put the hx cam in i got a dyno shop close to me that charges 45 for 1 hour/3pulls
