There are no pics of my oil return line going from the turbo to the oil pan because I didn't get done with that until REALLY late and matt had already left. (ill have some pics of that later in the week hopefully) Looks nice though but i need some thoughts on it. (cuz it's backwards lol) (but im gonna pour a cup of oil down it just to test to see if it flows well) It's all finished EXCEPT i forgot to clean out the piping because there are metal scraps in there from the cutting and stuff Also I didn't add oil yet either. If I would have done these two things I could have started it, but as everyone knows from before, the o2 housing is facing the block and i dont really want to melt it with 800 degree heat. I tried to go to Top Street in milwaukee to get a temporary downpipe made that goes to the road but they were friggin closed So i still haven't started it. BUT this gives me a chance to order the STRAIGHT! o2 housing from cheapturbo.com for an internal wastegate, that way ill have plenty of room and can get a custom dowpipe made and it wont face the block. (like this one) It's only $25 and it seems to work well, i've seen smoe pics from someone else. So i hope that answers ur question. If it doesn't let me know. For the thank you's. Friend matt... He's helped me, taken pics, hosted pics this WHOLE TIME for selling parts and everything. So he get s a huge Paul Vang Sent me some AMAZING oil lines and fittings. He's a really nice guy and has helped me a lot with these things. Also has GREAT customer service as too! Get ur stuff from him! Havok Racing Made me the kickass manifold in REALLY short notice! Thanks! It fit perfect! My Brother .....bitching like usual Friend Dan For taking and hosting some of my other pics of my turbo parts DriveLine Debuque Iowa.....Got the BOV, IC, and oil pan welded for a such a cheap price u'd ---- urself! Damn good guy too. And everyone on this board I definately could NOT have done it without you guys. You guys are amazing! Re:Pictures of my finished Setup (but didn't start car)
nice setup! love the manifold, but I think you could have used less piping on the right side, you may lose some pressure from too much piping, but everything else nice.

Re:Pictures of my finished Setup (but didn't start car)
Hah!!! I remember that intercooler on ebay like 5 or 6 months ago. I was going to buy it but didnt like all the red paint on it. Good work.
P.S--- I have a skittle car to. Ecept mine is purple :'( |
Re:Pictures of my finished Setup (but didn't start car)
I remember it, I bid on it and lost, I'm glad because it gave me enough time for customcoach to came to the rescue.

Re:Pictures of my finished Setup (but didn't start car)
Thanks! Keep the replies comin!
Yeah, it was actually physically impossible to run the piping the way i would have liked to so now im stuck with that :( Just not enough room and the way the oil lines worked out. Ill see how it goes. Also, on the IC i actually didn't get this one off of ebay :) In fact, i dont even have an account. I bought this off a starion/conquest forum... Actually I bought 2 for the price of one. I got an AMAZING deal on that thing! :) ($70) Thanks for all of the replies and ill keep u updated, im a little worried about the piping on the car though now :( I've seen some other setups and they had it like mine, so hopefully it'll work. If i woulda gone under the car i believe i'd of used the same amount actually??? i hope |

Re:Pictures of my finished Setup (but didn't start car)
Hey skittle if that turbo is a T3 off a Mopar a down pipe adapter frome a Saad/Volvo wont fit. They both have 5 bolts but the pattern is different. It wont fit >:(I just sold a Mopar turbo I had couse of the same thing. It seemed to hard to cut the down pipe and have something welded to it to make it work.

Re:Pictures of my finished Setup (but didn't start car)
HOLY CRAP YES! Where are you located?
I need some pictures, but if it's the the one ill have a M/O out tomorrow. If you can get A pic that's all i need just to make sure it connects with the same 5 bolt patter as my current one. If it's the one, ill take it LMK! Thanks |

Re:Pictures of my finished Setup (but didn't start car)

Re:Pictures of my finished Setup (but didn't start car)
skittle, it looks like your p/s belt isn't on there, but you still have the resivour(sp?) pushed off to the side. Is I'm just kinda curious why that is. I like that manifold ya got. Looks pretty good!!!

|
Re:Pictures of my finished Setup (but didn't start car)
it looks like he dropped the power steering pump off the block so he could get more room to work with. that pict was proberly taken before he was finished putting everything together
|
Re:Pictures of my finished Setup (but didn't start car)
I've heard D16Z6s put about 101whp down factroy, but I wonder what they would put down with no power steering or A/C.. ??
89' = no power steering... Or A/C in my case.. |
Re:Pictures of my finished Setup (but didn't start car)
When I pulled the belt for the p/s, my butt dyno said about 1 1/2 whp. Not a huge difference and the a/c isn't going to give alot less than that. When the a/c isn't running there is a clutch that doesn't engage the pump.
Sorry for the threadjack. Back to topic :) |
Re:Pictures of my finished Setup (but didn't start car)
what fitting did you use on the back of the block? ive seen a thing that autometer makes, it converts the 1/8 npt to 1/8 bspt fitting.

Ohh i've had the P/S belt off for a while. I wanna take all that ---- out.
|
Re:Pictures of my finished Setup (but didn't start car)
Might want to have the BOV outlet facing down. The way you have it now, moisture will get in there from moisture in the air. I'll also sound louder and have better tone when facing the pavement. Looking sweet though :)
|
Re:Pictures of my finished Setup (but didn't start car)
nicely done
ever thought about painting and sainding the intercooler to get taht red off.? i like the way everything looks thou. hope it run good lata |
