pics of my completed turbo setup.
Hey guys,
I thought I would share my new setup. Here are the pics:
http://photoshare.shaw.ca/view.php?V...3PJWlJr&mesg=1
Here is my kit:
-Directed flow manifold Tig welded by me
-IHI RHB5 turbo rebuilt by me running 7 psi
-Saab intercooler
-PIT RFL blowoff valve
-stock injectors
-chipped ecu running Turbo Edit - fully tuned using my new LM-1 wideband with the Rpm kit (awesome unit)
I have datalogged everything and the car pulls very hard - harder than my old civic using a t-25 @ 10 psi. I had a question though, I am using the NG60 stable map and running the ECUcontrol plug in to datalogg off the Ecu. I also datalogged using the LM-1. All the numbers look great but I was wondering about the hp/torque charting on ECU control - at full throttle it said I was making 421 hp @ 7psi - I know that is bullshit. My guess is somewhere around 210-230 hp to the wheels max. Has anyone had any accurate readings using this feature.
Your comments are welcome.

Hey. The mani was painted with red Vht paint (I ran out of black) and it turned white due to the heat. I like the setup and I have tried to keep everything very sleeper-ish. I have instaledl a vent in the hood above the intercooler for it to function - very low key though. I have about 5 guages that have been stealth mounted in the glove box. Turbo timer painted flat black and installed where the clock is supposed to go. Stock appearing but moves very well. Overall I am happy with how it has turned out. This my 3rd turbo project and my first attempt with Turbo edit. I will never do it any other way. I'm hoping to eventually get some forged parts and shoot for about 300 hp with a bigger turbo that I have lying around. I am on the hunt for som DSM 450's right now.
I rebuilt the motor before the turbo kit went on and when I did a compression test it gave me 185 across the board - overall a good result for my first build from scratch using all new honda bearings and piston rings.

Re: pics of my completed turbo setup.
hey man can you post pics from under and above the hood of the vent you were talkin about?
this is the exact same way i'm mounting my dsm sidemount and was planning on putting some kind of vent above to get some air there, and maybe cut out some of the fender well to give the air a place to escape
BTW stealth setup rules
