http://theoldone.com/components/breather/ actually taps in to the back of your block and elimnates the stock pcv system, the only 'real' crank case breather kit that i'm aware of, not some cheap catch can with a 'vacuum' source from the turbo intake.

is it really needed? i have mine from the back of the block, into a custom can, with the hose on bottom, with steel wool inside packed, then the top line goes to the intake tube..

yes, the PCV valve is what the problem is. it doesn't like boost.

if you've ever seen all the ---- that gets in a catch can, you'd have second thoughts about routing it back in to your turo intake. even if you have a true 'baffled' can which cost about 80 bucks just for the can, some of the stuff still gets by and sucked in to your intake, which in turn lowers octane rating and can cause detonation.

most people honestly don't do anything yeah, honda's pcv system is gay for boost b/c it's a one way check valve basically and it closes when it see's boost, but if you don't rig up an actual crank case breather of some sort (like from the link i posted, you could make one for a d series, but would still need to buy the baffled can), then you're really just wasting your time with anything else, worst case scenerio, you get a little blow by under boost, in that case, just run a gay catch can off your valve cover to catch the oil/vapor
