Default PCV questions

Im getting ready to put my kit on my b16 during this next week. Im trying to decide what to do with the PCV valve. I don't have a catch can and don't feel like spending the 30-35 bucks on an eBay or homemade one (yes, Im a cheap ***). Can I just unplug the hose hooked to the intake mani coming from the PCV and let it vent directly into the air and just put a little breather on the VC? And then just plug off the nipple on the intake mani where the hose was plugged in. So basically just unplug the pcv hose from the intake manifold and let it vent. Anything wrong with that?

That should be just fine. There's a baffle there so you don't have to worry about oil spewing all over. I would just be worried about ---- getting in there, since it is like a 5/8" opening.

Ok cool, maybe I'll put a breather on it too. Or like...wrap a piece of screen around it lol. Like you said, I don't want anything getting down in there. Thanks for the help man

Yea that will work fine but I would consider a catch can in the near future...

you can afford a gatorade bottle?

2 breathers will cost more than a homemade catch can.

Can't I put a nipple on the pre turbo intake and just put the hose from the VC there? Then I only need one breather or maybe just a screen for the PCV hose
