Default PCV question

is there anyway to run a catch can without having an intake pipe on your turbo? right now i only have a screen because when i put a intake pipe on it sounds like an Effing turkey because of compressor surge (cant hear the surge when the pipe is off though). so im wondering if there is anyway to re-route the PCV without a "pre-turbo" source

just run it to a container or bottle with a breather filter on it.

so to run a catch can you don't need to run a line into the turbo intake?

i was thinking i could add a T between the valvl cover breather tube and connect an emptied pcv valve inline with the valve cover breather tube and a breather filter to the middle of the T so any oil that comes out of the emptied pcv valve could either go back in the crank case or the valve cover and the fumes would just go out the breather filter.

no you don't have to, most of the oil will just collect at the bottom of the container but some of it will escape out the breather filter. it's a cleaner install to route it back to the intake since it can suck all the vapors, but not necessary.

superpilum could you read my post about running the pcv valve and the valve cover breather inline? it's above your first post
here it is: i was thinking i could add a T between the valvl cover breather tube and connect an emptied pcv valve inline with the valve cover breather tube and a breather filter to the middle of the T so any oil that comes out of the emptied pcv valve could either go back in the crank case or the valve cover and the fumes would just go out the breather filter.
