Default PCS Elimination

I'm trying to clean up the electrical/vac/firewall as much as i can. I'm wondering what the purpose is of the PCS solenoid or whatever it's called, and if i can just unplug it and plug off the vacuum lines when i install my 2.5 bar. I'm sure it's been covered but i didn't have any luck with a search. While i'm at it, can anyone tell me what the purpose is of that stupid diaphragm on the throttle body of a b18a that's attached to the throttle control via a small linkage, i know it just goes to and intake source, and i've since removed it, but wtf does it do? And is there anything else i can eliminate while i'm at it, be it on the IM or elsewhere.Btw it's a obd0 Ef, and fuel mileage is not an issue whatsoever.

yeah you can pull off that fuel rail and injector thingie's with the doo dad wires on em.

the diaphram keeps the idle from slamming to 500 instead of 800 when you let off the gas suddenly, iirc
