That is a very cheap and effective trick man. Look at the G2IC link in the main page weblinks and he explains how to do it on the g2 integras.. should be comparible to the civic.

Cause if they didn't then the motors wouldn't reach full operating temperature and your heater won't blow out hot air when you need it to. Yeah, I thought the same thing, it does actually take alot longer to get to operating temps. But I've been researching on HT and a few guys pulled there thermostats and started to overheat, put them back in and it stopped overheating.

It does this cause the coolant has to have time to cool down in the radiator.

I'm definitly looking into the hoodscoop. i might just get a cheap one off ebay, paint it black, and glue the bitch right over the turbo. May not look good but whatever.

Just one more suggestion for you...from the looks of you car. i bet the radiator isnt getting enough air becuase your huge as intercooler is blocking the entire thing.

90ZCREX, earlier I suggested you check the temperature signal switch which is located somewhere on the engine block. Did you check/change it? I have a strong feeling this is were your resolution lies.

Its right below the CAS. It a little sensor with either a green or white plug. I believe it cost around 20 bucks max. Try swaping it with another one if you have one. I had a problem with my cooling system and swaped that out, fixed the problem.

Well that goes against logic to me.. I don't argue the facts found on H-T but I sure as hell think that their theories are wack.. then again I'm coming from the old school to help people out. So assuming you stick with that theory, what about a cooler thermostat. Oh and isn't it going to enrich the fuel mixture if you mess with the operating temperature?

Ummm Im prolly a dumbass but wouldnt running a pusher fan on the rad take care of the intercooler blocking air flow to it and on alot of civics the rubber bump stops under the hood... cant those be screwed up and down to raise the hood giving you the cool air you need? Im also going w/ Quadnie on the lower temp thermostat. Try 160*.

Sorry to take the thread astray but I got a question for Quadnie. Were you always the mod for the forced induction board Dont remember you being so but Im pretty ------- oblivios most of the time.

Yeah, always since like right before memorial day. No, I came out of nowhere and Jeff made me a mod cause I'm good at helping ya'll suckers.. I mean brothers out.

The temperature signal switch wouldn't happen to be the one that's right below the dizzy and is one little wire going to it would it?

When I was changing the headgasket, I pulled the little wire out of that sensor, and just crimped it back on.

Well ---- me and call me aunt lilly. That is the temperature sending switch. It's too late now but I'll check it out tommorrow. Thanks for the advice guys.
