ok im stumped
iv been trying to get rid of my boost creep problem for so time now
today after work i took off my dp for the drive home (open turbo open dump)
i built over 12 psi in 3rd (chip tuned for 10 psi)
when i got home i unhooked and opened my waste gate flapper went for a run and still built 12 psi in 3rd
its a 14b on a z6 custom log style many BBK's map

any one have any ideas why or how to fix it?

 

oh and on a funny note i melted my fan shroud

 

maybe your boost gauge sucks...did you datalog it?

 

So you made 12 psi with the gate flap open and unhooked?
Thats impossible ..
Just run external gate , dump into atmoshpere and you're away

 

All of the 14b & 16g ive seen have boost creep. The only way to fix would be to port your wastegate hole or go external. I would vote to go with external.

people still run internals ?? lol i have up on them along time ago

 

 

externals are overrated. consider the boost creep added horsepower! have you tried running it with the actuator off? not sure if you said that but im guessing yes. if so then ---- idk.
