Open Compressor Outlet?

Open Compressor Outlet?
I have the feeling that when I start installing my turbo, I won't be able to finish it right away. Would there be any damage or danger by running the turbo with no charge pipes and with wastegate(internal) stuck open by means of a wire or something on the actuator?
Basically I'm thinking mani, turbo, downpipe installed. Compressor outlet open. I would put a filter on the inlet if necessary.
Anyone forsee any problems?
btw, this is a DSM T25 and I plan on using a DSM o2 housing so wastegate dump will just go into exhaust.

Re: Open Compressor Outlet?
yea there is another poste somewhere just like this except he did that and the shaft snapped
Homemadeturbo / Forced Induction / Re: my 1200 bucks turbonetics shaft snapped
the turbo will still spool even with the wastegate open so i personaly wouldent do it

Ya judging from that other thread, it doesn't seem very safe to leave it open with no back pressure... argh!
What if i restrict the outlet a bit...?

Re: Open Compressor Outlet?
just make sure you have everything ready to bolt on before you start your install. like have all your charge pipe cut and ready to bolt up, intercooler mounted. you can drive it with the turbo and manny on to a muffler shop to get your DP made.
