Just wondering if anyone/company makes a wastegate dump like the DSM guys use.

The turbine housing housing has its own exit while the wastegate hole is routed a competely different peice of smaller pipe that vents into the atmosphere.

When you make the switch from vac. to boost EVERYONE knows it.

 

Are you talking about running an external wastegate or not? I don't think you can modify the stock internal wastegate to work like that.

hopefully shitty imagestation will link it. i dunno why you couldnt have an exhaust shop do that, but its gonna depend on where youre located. in OK we dont have any of them environmental cops. its noisy everytime the wastegate opens, it will get some weird looks lol. if it doesnt post the pic tell me and i will email it to you.

you can't do that to the garret. The wastegate flapper on a mitsu is in the turbo and on the garret its in the 02 housing. You can't get rid of the housing like on the mistu..

it sounds like it cannot be done to a garret due to the way its made.

 

I see it. your not gonna be able to do it on a garrett. if you want that open exhuast sound just cut a hole in it.

 

besides being a nuisance because of the noise, will having an open dumptube cause boost creep? ive kinda wondered, since alot of ppl on hondatech that have 3inch dp's got boost creep when they installed the 3 inch dp. would the open dump accelerate this, or relieve it?

 

My stealth is going to be running duel dumps, I was just hoping to get the same for my huge *** garrett.. I'm going to run a full exhuast dump into the pass. side fender area... LOUD ? who cares, its not my daily driver, the stealth is keeping stock cat-back, but its going to use an electronic cut-out plate and of course the wastegate dumps only open under boost..

 

somebody need to send that pick to J. Davis for me...
