is it the oil return? i mean as long as it wont melt it or if its not the oil feed you know but if i were you dont let it touch ...do whatever to make it not touch..."Do things right the first time"

Mine does this too. My solution was to wrap the downpipe in header wrap, but I'm also using a thick *** piece of hydrolic hose as my return and it shows no signs of heat damage.

Guys, Its been a while since I discussed this with my supplier, but I believe the temp. these lines could handle was in the 1000's. I can't remember the exact number, but it's pretty high.
I know Ghetto D has his feedline resting on his "ram head" manifold and we were looking at it the other day. No signs of anything yet. I'll get ahold of the supplier and double check the heat tolerances. Short term you will be ok, but for long terms sake, I will find out.
