Is it okay if the oil line is touching the downpipe?

Return line is barely touching the downpipe. I'm using a stealthmode kit, which has the stainless lines, but would it cause any probs if they're touching?

Mine does this too. My solution was to wrap the downpipe in header wrap, but I'm also using a thick ass piece of hydrolic hose as my return and it shows no signs of heat damage.

Guys, Its been a while since I discussed this with my supplier, but I believe the temp. these lines could handle was in the 1000's. I can't remember the exact number, but it's pretty high.
I know Ghetto D has his feedline resting on his "ram head" manifold and we were looking at it the other day. No signs of anything yet. I'll get ahold of the supplier and double check the heat tolerances. Short term you will be ok, but for long terms sake, I will find out. ;)

Stainless steel braided lines can handle that ----, id move it off with a wire tie if u can get one somewhere it wont melt. but regardless u get it off the dp

depending on how bad it was touching I guess, but if its stainless it should be fine.

It's probbly not going to explode, but why don't you just zip tie it out of the way so you don't risk anything.

if it makes you feel any better, my feed line was touching my manifold until today (finally installed extension), i raced it at the track, took it on a six hour drive, another three hour drive, and so on and so forth, and there wasn't even as much as a mark on the line. so i think the oil return would be fine on the dp.

That sucks man. I have an interview tomorrow, if I'm hired, there might be a position open where I work right now, but that's only if you want to drive 22 hrs to work everyday ;) ;) I hope I get this thing, better pay, hours, benefits, closer to home, everything i might want.
