Default oil return question

does it have to be pointing straight down or is this ok



i think it should be considering theres pressure behind it... but what do i no

No, that will have to be rotated. I dont think you want you oil return line shooting straight out like that, rotate the housing so that it face's down.

its the one right underneath the water fitting all i can get is a open end wrench on it but it just strippes it...

its the one right underneath the water fitting all i can get is a open end wrench on it but it just strippes it...
I'd start by soaking it in PB Blaster for about 20 mins and then see if you can lock a pair of vice grips around it and get it moving. If that doesn't work I'd heat it up with a torch and try again.

Post a picture of the stuck bolt and I'll be able to give you better info. If you have the semi circle retaining rings holding it in place, I'd just cut it with a dremmel to get it away from the bolt. Then you can take the housing apart and get to the bolt. I broke a bolt off in my housing and ended up having to get a new one. That little retainer is about $5; a new housing is $70-200. Do the math

Be care ful.I had one break on me on one of those chrysler T3s.Those things are a pain in the *** .
