does it have to be pointing straight down or is this ok

No, that will have to be rotated. I dont think you want you oil return line shooting straight out like that, rotate the housing so that it face's down.

just rotate the center section. i had to the same to me T3 so it could face straight down..

its the one right underneath the water fitting all i can get is a open end wrench on it but it just strippes it... :'(

Post a picture of the stuck bolt and I'll be able to give you better info. If you have the semi circle retaining rings holding it in place, I'd just cut it with a dremmel to get it away from the bolt. Then you can take the housing apart and get to the bolt. I broke a bolt off in my housing and ended up having to get a new one. That little retainer is about $5; a new housing is $70-200. Do the math ;) |

Be care ful.I had one break on me on one of those chrysler T3s.Those things are a pain in the ass >:(.
