Could a bad return line angle cause the line to back up and leak oil out the the tube that hooks up the the charge piping? I've read a few thing that said it is possible

What you said leads me to think your seals are gone in your turbo.

 

is htere any way i can confirm this. Taking it apart or something else. I'm going ot rip it off when i get home tonight and take a look and see what i can find out.

 

well man the first thing to do is get that oil line fixed.. make sure its comming straight down from the turbo and having enough gravity to go safely into the oil pan.
then you will know for sure if its the oil line or the turbo.

 

ya i was dumb and welded my return tube on the oil pan to high up and it made it dificult to place return hose. hose became crimped and a whole bunch of oil went past oil seals. fixed crimp no more oil past seals. so thats what i would try first

 

Your cartridge should not be more than 30 degrees of center max...

And your return line needs to have a gentle slope without kinks or sharp bends. It also have to have a straight shot to the oil pan without hanging too low... basically, the oil is drained by gravity into the oil pan, if there is anything preventing it from draining into the pan, it won't... the oil coming out of the turbo is not pressurized...

To check your seals, take off your downpipe or air filter and look at the turbo, if there is oil all over the place then you have a problem... you can check your charge pipes too, many times the turbo will blow oil into them and they will be coated with that junk...
