Oil restrictor

Posted this here because general discussion gets the most traffic. Anyways i recently found out the bad smoking problem my car has been having is definitely my turbo. Kinda pissed about this considering i purchased this from Blaast back at the begining of the year and have only ran it for a total of 2 ------- months! Since the six month warranty period is up im kinda screwed. The turbo is in perfect condition, NO shaft play. I just have oil leaking around the bottom of the turbo on the exhaust side. Not much just a little, but it must be leaking into the down pipe also because i get sudden clouds of smoke out of nowhere from my exhaust. So just the exhaust seal seams to be bad. I have no oil in the charge piping what so ever. Its just getting in the exhaust. My oil return is perfect and the oil line im using is a -3an line, so i figure i shouldn't need a restrictor. Ive never ran a restrictor before on any setup i have ever had with a -3an line.
Anyways to the point. How many of you guys have actually put a restrictor on and got rid of the smoking. I can't stand the constant smell of smoke and random thick smoke clouds coming out of my exhaust. Anyways what size/diameter is a -3an line anyways. Just wondering because i found this> http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/me...egory_Code=BCS
which says it reduces it down to .065 Just wondering is that enough or to much

not sure on the size, but yes ive turned down the oil pressure to the turbo to get ri of smoking before. Lol i used a valve and basically turned it until it didnt smoke any more, worked great

Both you guys run 3an lines on these?

You can also take the fitting that connects the -3an to the turbo, on the turbo side tap some threads in it and thread a set screw in it, drill a .060-.065 hole in the set screw and locktite it in, works wonders and cost's about .10 cents. this is what I did, I run a -3an line

Might try this if i can't find a restrictor local.

I have a 1/4" needle valve on my feed line as you see in the photo below. The pressure sender you see if for my pillar oil pressure gauge. My system is a rear mount and I did the needle valve for two reasons. First I needed to restrict the flow so it didn't smoke/leak oil like a typical setup. Second, I put the needle valve near the motor so the long length of the feed line wouldn't have full pressure in it all the time in case it ever got hit by something or cut. I didn't want it dumping all the motor oil on the street in 30 seconds and creating a 007 oil slick.

Its a built a6 motor and i have a t3/to4e 60 trim. I know a little big its been working out great. Im not sure as to how much oil pressure my turbo was seeing because i have no oil gauge, but i did let the feed line go into a bucket for a few seconds. God damn :o its bound to have to much oil pressure. Not to sure though sourcing a oil gauge now.
