Default oil problems

I have been having problems with a lot of oil being burnet in a cloud of smoke every time I shift. I tried shortening the oil return line then making an adjustable restriction in the feed line, but know I think that the turbo is simply a little low and there is too little hose and it gets full real quick.

Have any of u ever tried making a seperate oil reservoir to catch the oil a little lower than the oil pan?

My main problem I think is going to find the pump I need to get the oil back in the engin, if anyone has an I dea on where I could find such a pump, that would help me out alot.

I'm using a -4AN oil feed line without any restrictor. I think you need a larger return line. I welded a 3/4 inch diameter piece of pipe in the oil pan.

Your problem could be caused by the location of the oil return pipe. If it's located inline with a connecting rod bearing there is going to be problem with the flow back to the oil pan. You see, when the oil is draining from the turbo the rotating crankshaft is splashing oil back into the return pipe causing a build up of oil in the return line. This will cause the car to smoke. The oil return pipe should be welded into the pan behind one of the main bearing caps. This will allow the oil to flow back into the oil pan without any interference.

Hope this will help solve your problem.
