Default oil pressure gauge

k i just got a oil pressure gauge electronic not mechanical and was wondering if i can just tap into the stock sensor wire or if i have to use that piece that comes with it that looks like a fuel filter...then i would have that damn oil sensor light on all the time? or can i somehow run the stock one too?

not sure what you can do with the stocker, and you are better off tapping the block and teeing off the firewall, but you do need the oil pressure sender.

You need to use the sending unit. Just run it off your block fitting or off the firewall, not sure how you have the oil lines plumbed.
