Re:oil pan removal help
yeah those suckers can get seated on there pritty good,i just take a big rubber mallet and hit it in a spot where there is a bind in the pan like where it rolls under so i dont put a big dent in it. it will sooner or later come off there

Re:oil pan removal help
I used a medium sized prybar. Tried from all angles, but no go. then my friend does it from the front of the engine, and plop it came right off. I used a mallet too but that didnt do anything.

try to get in with a small screw driver, and then work up to a bigger size ect, ect, be careful of the gasket, unless you have a new one.

Start with the simplest first: are you SURE you got EVERY nut off? Theres like a billion of them stupid things...

Re:oil pan removal help
Go with a rubber mallet and tap it side to side. If that does not work try working in a small screwdriver without bending the lip. PATIENCE is the key.
