Default Re: Oil lines or water lines?

The two lines with the fittings are directly opposite each other. The larger one i figured was the drane. The smaller i thought was the inlet. But as for the coolant lines, that would make the larger line on the top and i guess on something like coolant passages the larger line would be the outlet. There is what looks to be coked oil on the metal fittings, but that could easily be rust from an extreamly old coolant system.

There are only 2 threaded holes in the turbo, they both have fittings for flare style lines. The upper line with the cut tube was connected to a rubber hose.

I removed the large tube, and you can see cast bearing caseing or so it seems. there is also a metal tab that sticks out from the compressor side of the turbo, i have no idea what thats for. Hopefully ill have some good picturse for you guys by this weekend.

I appreciate the help so far.

like he said, in the first pic, the fatty steep pipe with the 2 bolt flange is the oil return, the little one with the compression fitting is the coolant line, in the second pic, the feed hole is the small one and the larger hole is the other coolant line. with no comp. fitting on it.

only the oil holes have specific inlet/outlets, the water lines it doesn't matter which one is in or out. if the small hole in the second pic isn't threaded on the inside, you'll either need to get a 1/8" npt thread tap to tap some threads in to it to accept the npt->AN fitting that your feed line will attach to, or buy a flange with AN fitting that the the oil line attaches directly to, i believe tuners toys carries them.
