Okay i used a bendable steel brake line that can withstand both the heat and the pressure, it is also 3/8 inch diameter.. will this work fine or do i need that braided ss line? so far i've heard it will work, just won't look pretty... but i want your guys' info on it.

also on the other post i read that you should crank the car a few times to let the oil run down the lines before the 1st start... if i took out the ECU fuse if i just held the key would it just crank and not start? i would think so but maybe somehow it will start. or should i just crank it and not let it start a few times? let me know!

Sounds like the oil feed line you have might be a bit too large. In most of our setups here we run 3-4AN lines. It's quite a bit smaller than 3/8". I think if your going to use that 3/8" line your going to have an oil consumption problem and probably be burning oil in the turbo.
Also, if your worried about the engine starting after you've pulled the ecu fuse, why not just pull the coil wire from the distributor. That way your positive it will not be getting spark to start the enging.

 

oh crap... sorry i'm tired i meant *********3/16"******** also my car don't have a coil wire.. d16a6 block / d16z6 head, d16z6 distributor no external coil.

 

Aaah ok, 3/16" sounds a bit better . You should be fine using that as an oil feed line. And as far as not having a coil wire I guess you'll have to pull the ecu fuse. It will NOT start up without the ecu fuse. There will be nothing to control the fuel or ignition so the engine is basically dissabled.

 

or just unplug the distributor.

Dr. those distributor plugs are a BIATCH!!! :P they kill my fingers everytime i take them off, and most times i end up slicing my finger open cuz i get at it with a screwdriver, so looks like ECU fuse for me, haha. thanks tho on the input on the oil feed trance

 

My T3 that I got off of a Sabb came with 3/8" feed line .Its only oil cooled though so I dont know if that has something to do with it.The feed line doesnt thread in eather.It has a flange like the drain line does.I wonder if should just run the same diameter feed line ?

 

3/8 inch is way to big... you'll lose too much pressure in the head.

 

I found out yesterday by trying that since the end of the brake line is flared you can screw it right into a DSM T25 without an adapter.

 

same with my RHB5, thats why i got it
