Oil feed leaking, thread lock and sealant?
 
Hey i started up my civic for the first time in 8 months and i have a bad leak with my oil feed line... could be cuz i didn't use any type of sealant :) but will some Thread lock and silicone sealant work for this?? need to know asap!!!!!!!!

I have the same problem. If it's the block fitting just use teflon tape. Unless your threads are totally fucked and cross threaded this should work. ;)

dont use thread lock.. just use some teflon. white stuff..

My threads were fucked on my block! so i used teflon and it still leaked so i used JB WELD! :-X :-X No more leaks! i just hope it never needs to come off again!

well i used HIGH TEMP thread lock :-X *AND* white silicon with teflon... hehe.. worse comes to worse JB WELD TIME!!!!

also i didn't realize it but for a few seconds i was running a tad over 2 quarts in there.... i didn't know i was loosing any oil, good thing i caught it when i did ;D

hey guys i lost the package that these came in.. how long should i wait till i can test the strength of the thread lock and sealant out? overnight?

if you want to be really sure wait at least 24+ hours

i use loctite. never had a problem with it. only takes a couple minutes to dry. never leaked for me. used it for a lot of ----. oh and TMR(big ass shop that sells earl's fittings and all kinds of ---- in so cal) doesnt recommend teflon tape because it fucks up the threads

well the lock thread and sealant blowed ass.. so i JB welded it :-X
